Chrome on a single o2 car

    Hi all,

I have searched and searched but cant seem to find an answer. I have an Australian spec 3kgt and it only has one o2 sensor located just before the cat. When I log I'm only getting rear fuel trims front is always 0 and if I log front primary o2 it reads constant 0.03904 but rear reads fine and cycles. Are both trims required in my case or can i just get the rear +-5% and leave it at that ? I just want to get my injectors (ID1000s) dialed in so i can go get it tuned.

    Cheers.

Try splicing the single 1v o2 signal wire into both primary o2 signal pins on the ecu? Should work I'd think.

I thought Greg had something programmed in that if u switched it on or off it only ran off one o2 sensor

Yeah i have that selected. I guess jspec ECUs are diffrent in that 1 o2 is used for both front and rear trims maybe?

Im going to try your suggestion Boostaddict.

If you set the peripheries to use only one O2 sensor (Primary Rear), then only the Rear O2 sensor and trims are functional. Sounds like it is working correctly.

Disable bit 2 of periphery 0 to switch to "single O2 sensor" mode.

Will the ecu adjust fuel trims on both banks from the single sensor in this mode?

Australian delivered. I got the idle trim to -1.9 and mid trim to -5. Car now idles a lot better. Had a small problem where cyl 4 was not getting fuel but after swapping the injector to cyl 1 all 6 are working fine now. Hope to have a wideband on it by the end of the week just have to get time off work to get to the exhaust shop as i need a DP made up to replace the stock one.
