WOW what a coincidence..exactly 1 year later I'm posting a new VD plot for my car! Same temperature outside too as last year...
Anyways, exactly 1 year ago I posted my VD results for my car at wastegate boost which can be found here:
Dyno chart for my 19T VR-4 - 3000GT/Stealth International Message Center
So at WG boost last year I dynoed 262whp with the following mods:
Built Motor/heads
JDM Gear
Fidanza Flywheel/Clutchmasters stage 3 clutch
MTC Ported 19T's--WRX converted 13T's running 6lbs of boost
Walbro 255 hotwired
Megan Downpipe/ebay 02 housings
running a stock VR4 rom on a flashed SL ecu...thanks Monochrome!
Stock injectors, 93 pump, stock catback, ABS/AWS/emissions delete..
1 year later my setup has changed only slightly...I now have an EVO MAF/IPS Quadtip and most importantly Cams. Webcam 150e regrinds w/shims and crower valvesprings. These are also known DR Street cams as I've been told. I unscrewed my Hallman MBC all the way out and was able to go as low as 7lbs. 1lb difference from last year. I also shimmed my wastegate actuators but I'm not sure if they are the reason why its now only going to 7lbs.
So the result...
Driving Impression: The car runs great...on stock cams it really ran out of steam at 7k even though I was revving out to 8k...with the cams now, however, there is a surge of power as the tach sweeps past 5k and the car pulls hard to 8000rpms. More than the power, is the sound. I've always been a sucker for a nice exhaust note...hence the IPS exhaust..with the combination of the cams and exhaust, the 6g72 sounds beautiful at WOT....at idle it sounds good too..I'll get you guys some clips...
