6 speed shifter assembly spring location

Removed my bellhousing to have the brace installed. I recall people mentioning a spring will drop when you pull out the linkage.

Below is a picture of the spring. I am rrying to figure out where it goes. I initally thought it went on the end of the shaft, but the shaft is too long.

That spring and cylinder is part of the shift detent. There is a diferent spring that goes on the end of the shift shaft.

Thanks. Luckily I dropped this thing down the tranny hosuing because I ended up finding the correct spring.

This piston and spring goes into the front dentent I am guessing. Is that correct?

Hey man' I see an expelled shift fork roll pin in there. Look at the shift fork on the far right... There's a fix for that in the drivetrain section... You're lucky you caught it in time.

After finding out what that spribg and cylinder was, I found this pic in the other forum. Sure enough mine was missing and well.
