Thumbs up latitude42motorsports popup HID review!

I've recently installed a set of latitude42motorsports popup HIDs for my 1st gen Stealth. After going through the install and putting some miles on the car I must say I LOVE THIS. The amount of light compared to stock is hard to explain; the difference is just amazing. Previously I would prefer driving my daily driver at night but now with the HIDs they are super bright. The beam is clear, wide, and easy on the eyes.

Here is the final result (more pics/detail below)

Installation wasn't very hard. Obviously, this is a modification and due to the tight fight and operation of the popups you'll have to do some wiring and drilling/grinding. I am one of the first to install this kit so I worked with Kurt to offer suggestions and let him know of any issues. Thankfully, the only suggestions I could offer were in guides/instruction so that will make it easier for the next person. There were no difficulties with the popup operation everything is still smooth. The light housing is solid and the bezel is very durable, probably stronger than the stock plastics. With my 1st gen RT bumper/markers I was able to fit the ballast inside the light bucket so it looks 100% factory.

    Here is the basic outline:

    remove popups
drill/grind out 4 rivets and pull out center light housing
rivet(comes with tool) new light housing in
    cut and rewire 3-4 wires
    reinstall popups and mount ballasts
adjust lights to avoid blinding people (very simple)

Here are some install pictures and other angles

    old housing removed

new housing installed, you can see the goldish colored rivets

Great write up & pics Toni, When I did this DIY install last September like you I found the installation quite easy using Kurts instructions and was amazed how much these lights improved the night time driving of my GTO.You may want to consider fitting halos as I have done, finishes them off a treat. But probably not to everyone's taste.
