    New Pikes Peak record

Those, who stand for nothing, will fall for anything.
On the Internet you can be anything you want. It's strange that so many people choose to be stupid.

Yeah he's flying, makes my ass pucker just watching the video. It would make me nervous as hell with all those people practically in the road. Hell one asshole was in the road. He was moving quick though I guess just knowing what would happen if I drove off the side would make me pretty damn nervous anyway. I don’t think I’d be one of the dorks leaning into the road ether. Lose my arm when the drivers hitting the apex. Ouch!

Everyone saw this coming. When the stealth raced back in the day the road was mostly dirt with some tarmac. over the years they extended the tarmac roads till this year where people vote to asphalt the whole road and that's why the time dropped so much because the entire track is tarmac now and racers can run slick tires with tarmac road only tunes suspension.

I think they only ran a shortened course for that race, not the full one. Past and Future Races - Motor Trend Magazine

But the 3000GT did break the Pikes Peak record in 1993, with John Norris behind the wheel, setting a time of 13:04.17. PIC1; PIC2, see also 3000GT - 1993.

In fact, John Hennessey even ran a VR-4 up pikes peak himself back in 1991. http://www.hennesseyperformance.com/hpe-history.html.

It sure would be fun to enter one in the all paved course in the time attack class ...

Here's some good stuff a buddy of mine snapped in our group on raceday... He's got mad skills! His name is Chris.
