That's not how your downspout is normally, is it? Way too high off the ground, and you need a splash block at a minimum.
Were you getting water all along that wall? Curious on why you made the drain so far away from the foundation.

Just to add, the way my basement is setup, and my parents basement is setup, is to have a drain along the interior walls of the basement. These little drains lead to a sump pump. Both of our basements haven't had any issues with water. You can also throw a de-humidifier down there to suck the moisture out of the walls.
I also think they sell a coating for the walls that will block out any water from seeping through the cinder blocks.
Edit: Additionally, we both have a downward slope heading off the outside wall to keep water away. My realtor also mentioned that having any types of plantation near the foundation draws water and holds water near the house, which is not a good thing.

no the gutter had not been put back on when the picture had been taken, it comes back out forward because as you can see thats my neighbors driveway,m picture is kinda deceiving but it was only about a foot width fro the foundation at most points where it was next to the house then past the house we took advantage of the natural down slope in the back yard.
I also have a seventy pint dehumidifier running down their and a smaller thirty pint in a small room that's away from air flow
