What plugs would you guys run if you stayed on pump? I currently have stock NGK's in my DR650 build and pretty sure I need to go a step colder.

on straight pump I think the NGK 5671A-7 is still pretty ideal.

Thanks. I went with NGK BKR7ES. I was getting some knock counts so hopefully that will solve it.

Did you ever try the NGK BCR8ES? I have 2 set to give a whirl when I figure out my issues.

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!

FYI rockauto has the autolite plugs for 1.96 each. I got 12 of them for $28 shipped

I'm running NGK BKR7ES-11 with mine. About 20 psi so far, got them from Ninja for a great price. I'm sure you will have success with them Jim.

no offense fellas, but lets not confuse this issue. The cold plugs are really necessary for e85 specifically. The success of your pump gas plugs does not carry over to e85 unless you want to pop your motor.

I never said they did. I specifically referenced Jim in my post, because he asked about staying on pump. I don't have any experience with E85, so I don't pretend like I know what I'm talking about in that regard

Ray, can you expand on what you have seen and what we should look out for on e85 plug temp? The suggested autolites are much colder than what other platforms are running in similar or greater hp range.

Is this small frame turbo specific (td04/05) because of intake temps and backpressure when cranked up or does it apply to larger frame turbo setups as well.

My understanding is preignition leads to catastrophic failure. Did you have to break some parts to find this info out?

Thanks in advance for any additional insight!!!
