Don't get too cozy, they are releasing the patch tomorrow and they are making a LOT of changes, including the right click menu being transformed into a radial menu for more efficiency. Ship resists are being decreased, 4 new faction battlecruisers, exploration is getting a big overhaul and T2 component manufacturing is supposed to getting easier. Lots more to read here!

Well.. my first day I made a little over 4 million ISK... not too bad, I don't think??

Just wait till you get to 0.0 space. You can make up to a billion isk per day or more depending on what you choose to do. Currently I can make around 100 - 200 million if I log on for a couple hours and do some deadspace complexes. Only bad part about plexes is you have to take all the stuff to lowsec to sell it, so I stockpile for awhile before making a run but it ends with a huge payout.

P.S. Just make sure you train your skills for a specific purpose ie: pvp, industry, capital ship pilot etc... and make sure those skills you are training are getting the best time bonus from your character attributes, you will gain skillpoints much faster this way. There are apps that allow you to make a plan for your character and will tell you which attributes need to be remapped (12 month cooldown) in order to get to your goal the fastest.

Not bad at all. Try the security missions instead of mining though.
