Maybe I used the wrong wiring terminology. I don't work with electricity too much, sorry. What I mean is that my red and black wires for the IAT sensor are butt connected to the wires that were going to the MAF. I have it hooked to the black and the red/blue wires. Its just in your guide you say the solid black and the red/blue, but those are not pins 6 and 7 they're pins 5 and 6.

I guess I was just curious if the pin number was correct or if the wire color was correct. Maybe I read the wiring diagram wrong.

Under the "How do I install the AEM EMS in my car" subsection,

AEM Engine Management System (EMS) FAQ - 3SI Wiki

Have you ruled out the sensor itself for the odd reading?

I guess I could buy another to try but I'd rather not... I'll check my tuning software and see if there is a voltage scale that needs adjusted first and then I'll look into buying another.

Or is there a way to test a sensor like that?

Thanks for the how to. I feel really stupid I didn't think of that since I knew it was a resistance based circuit. Sadly the sensor checks out to be functional. I'm going to have to dive deeper into my wiring now it looks like or wire it into the ambient sensor section of the ECU.

Also, does anyone know where to go if the MAF harness connector isn't getting juice?

That guide is also copied from the 3si wiki, which is what I contributed to.
Not to nitpick, but I wrote that AEM FAQ years before the Wiki even existed, a few months after the AEM was released for the 3S. So thanks for posting it and saying it is your own.

^ I did not say I wrote it, I contributed to it by correcting some of the information that was wrong. In specific, the wires that are used for the AIT wiring. I guess your post was copied over to the 3si wiki, where I later corrected that specific part. If you'd like I can just put the incorrect info back in?

I never said that I wrote the guide.

Just an update for anyone who invested time in helping me out I figured out the IAT problem. The way it needed wired was different from an AEM. I now have an active IAT sensor. I think I juest need to lean it out a tiny bit and then let the wideband sort out the AFR once it warms up.

Just need a wee bit more exhaust on it so the O2 reads right.
