Canadian truck, took it out. The one lady is still in the hospital with internal bleeding, but stable. Not heard what the cat scan came up with yet.

Some local asshat reported being an eyewitness to a shady guy under the bridge kneeling, and praying, then stood up to snap photos just before the collapse. Telling all of this to a local reporter, which in turn got live coverage of the hoax. I hope they find a way to charge him for the BS.

i think the bridge is already too far gone if it takes 1 truck to make it KIA.

i don't give a flying fuck what happened. IF it was simply an errant truck that took it out...then there were serious existing issues. structures like bridges and skyscrapers are supposed to be able to withstand a certain amount of punishment. the WTC, for example was designed to withstand a b-25 crashing into it--and it probably could have done so (jumbo-jets are another issue entirely). buildings in SF are designed to withstand tectonic shifts.

if a bridge only needed 1 bleeding semi to bring it down, then i don't really think it was safe in the first place.
