Toyota doesn't make Getrag syncros at all. They never did. Nor did Mitsu. They repackaged and sold OE GETRAG parts. Transtar makes a generic knock-off which doesn't work as well as OEM parts. I used to run Northbend Technologies, doing rebuilds for Supercar Engineering, and later as a solo venture. Jacks still does it. NONE of us like the knock-off syncros.

I don't have a business any more so I couldn't care less what you sell. Just be honest about it. Don't get all pissed off at me because your 'extensive research' falls apart under 30 seconds of scrutiny.
Ohh geeze guys, I'm not pissed, however, for the life of me... you guys are mistaken! The synchros in my kits are bronze, not brass. Again, they are not manufactured in China either. My synchro packs say Toyota on them. I clearly stated they are Getrag parts. It's quite obvious some posting in here haven't seen a bronze vs. brass synchro side by side, EVER! They look nearly identical. The bronze have a black hue in the shoulder. The brass are gold thru and thru. My kits have black in the shoulder and are gold. They are not the brass rings which are are yellow thru and thru.

So pop quiz time everyone except Jeff, (please PM me your answer, Jeff V) which one of these synchros depicted below is bronze and which one is brass? Clearly, some folks in here need to research things and do more real world building before they spot legit synchros and scream China.

For everyone else, these are good kits. Transmission rebuilds require attention to detail, Roger!

ohhh, quiz! I'm voting "they are both the same and the one on the left is just used, as depicted by wear witness marks".

Play your games all you like. The 3-R syncros are 3rd party parts, and the design is wrong. They do not have the correct type of friction surface.

Anyone who doubts me can read the Jack's Transmissions link and see for themselves.

The only Toyota/Mitsu/Getrag syncro parts you have are the 1-2 rings, which come from the V160 trans in the MKIV Supra turbo.

LOL you love quizzes, so it's time to give up the ghost... they are not the same bro. The synchro on the left is Bronze. The one on the right is brass. They do kinda look the same tho, haha . The picture is from Jack @ Jack's Transmissions.

LOL, my gearbox has these synchros... now 700awhp. I rebuilt it in 2009 and have put over 80,000miles on it since that time and have had no less than 500awhp since then. The synchros are bronze (not brass)... and OEM syncros are bronze. There is nothing wrong with the friction surface. They sync MY REAL WORLD 800hp motor to the drivetrain just fine. If you don't know how to align synchro's for proper engagement then this kit isn't for you. Buyers will have to verify synchronization and possibly do some tweaking, lapping, and polishing to get ideal tooth height and engagement. That's part of every transmission rebuilding process with any synchros... It's an equivalent PITA process on par with filing ringlands and checking end gap.

Either way.... 2 Kits left as of 6/2/2012

Won't be offering these kits up for sale again.

One which can be avoided entirely if you buy OEM parts with the correct design and materials.

Whatever. Your little exercise here is just showing that PT Barnum was absolutely correct. More power to you.
