    the condolences are because he didn't get it--regardless of what happens in the future. it still sucks to be stuck in a lower pay bracket for another year--even though you would otherwise qualify for promotion.

    As one who was in limbo for almost 2 years, im pretty sure I understand the wait part

    Usualy things will carry over with navy advancement until the next exam period(March and sept) the issue is with the manning of the navy the way it is there has been this great idea of lets do this then years later they realize they screwed up but by then 1000's of sailor's are gone, passed up on advancement, or switched their rating's within the navy(ala me 3 times in 5 years).

    Sucks to hear Jeff, how close to HYT are you?
