Guys with cianci wide rear fenders

Before putting them on. Would cutting the fenders out this much be a bad idea for a 3s?

I imagine there would be some weightsave to be made from the metal cut out. Most 3s just cut the lower part of the wheelarch to allow for wider Wheels I Think. Anyways just a thought. (maybe I should just ask these kind of questions in the chatbox )

After having bonded the fenders in place, I felt that the center of the panel felt... not exactly flimsy, but like it could easily crease with not a lot of pressure. So I went up the gap at the wheel with a small hose, and used a minimally expanding foam to fill the gap between old and new fender. Much more solid feel, and eliminated the tin roof sound in the rain.

Dunno what I would have done had I cut the fenders first, like you're thinking.

I don't see there being enough weight savings to warrant cutting up the rear quarters like that.
