CXRacing 70mm TB Leak Fix Kits

I have the CXRacing 70mm throttle body leak solution figured out. I tried a variety of options to fix the horrible leaks that this TB has new from the manufacturer (it is basically unusable in a turbo car). What I settled on is a set of very basic seals that should be a relatively simple 20 minute (or less) installation (TB must be removed from the car). The problem is that the bearings the manufacturer chose are not capable of holding any pressure, and there are no off-the-shelf bearings that can hold pressure without a significant re-design.

The repair kits are $20/shipped which includes the new seals, new bearing keepers, and instructions. Tools needed for the repair include normal metric wrenches, 3mm metric allen-wrench, and a dental pick (right angle or hook shaped) or very small screwdriver to remove the old bearing keepers. A very small amount of silicone grease (or other high temp synthetic grease) is also needed for installation.

If anyone would prefer to not mess with the DIY solution I can offer a repair service for $70 (total) including return priority mail shipping. That service will include seal installation and pressure testing for leaks to 30psi. I really think the seal installation is pretty straightforward so I’d expect most people wouldn’t want to send me their TB.

As with any aftermarket part or DIY solution, there are no warranties or claims for anything other than what is expressly stated above. If for some reason you have a problem I’ll help you resolve it. Anyone installing an aftermarket TB like this knows it is for off-road purposes only, blah blah blah.
