Home made race gas. Is it as good?

Just curious if anyone has done an analysis of Race gas vs homemade with xylene or toluene. I ran a tank of Xylene mix 100 octane this past weekend and it acted like race gas as far knock goes and the car felt great. However, dyno #'s seemed weak. We know e85 seems to produce more torque. The recipe's simple just put 6 gallons xylene, 24 ounces of marvel mystery oil and fill the tank up with 93. Gives you a full tank of 100. I mean the car ran great. 23 psi WOT to 140 no knock. Dynoed with a mix of 103, 100 degrees outside and 17psi got 439. Added timing gears, 70 degrees outside, 21psi and only got 421. Can't see anything I could do better to the tune either.
