stock audio system problems, please help

im not sure what the problem could be but i have no sound out of the left side... my front right speaker is very quiet compared to the back

    the speakers are not blown

when i check for static there is no static but there is a tick when i turn the volume way up... this makes me think the wires between the amp and the speakers are fine

i tried another amp from a diamonte that plugged right in but it didnt fix the problem (idk if that amp is completely compatible but it did plug right it)

so i think it has to be the head unit or the wires from the h/u to the amp, does anyone know if the infinity h/u has problems like this?

You say stock, but I have to ask, is there an aftermarket head unit installed?
I had this exact problem on my Galant with premium sound, aftermarket head units don't really work without re-wiring the entire thing.

Pull the head unit and check the wiring for burns.
Also check to see if maybe one of the wires has been pulled out of the plug somehow.

    checked them all

the wires for the head unit, the amp, and the speakers all look normal and are securely plugged in

i did the battery test thing and the speakers would make noise so i believe that means my wiring is good and my head unit is bad

See if you can't trade out units with another local member to test it.

Assuming that you did this off the plugs that plug into the amplifier, then yes that means that your wiring is fine.

well, still never figured this out so im taking the head unit apart... using parts from a very similar dsm head unit it appears that the main board is the problem... would anyone know what part on the board is for the drivers side audio?
