The public school system at it's finest...

Don't know the back story or what started this exchange, but if this kid were of legal age, I think I'd want to buy him a beer...

Pretty sure you can rate how well she's getting through to the rest of the class by seeing ALL of the desks absolutely blank & that girl by the door "gettin' her nails did"...Now I see why we continue to drop in intelligence rank as a nation as each year goes by.

What a pathetic, lazy-ass pseudo teacher...It takes the grunge guy of the class to speak up about her obviously flawed teaching methods & she ejected him for telling her how he sees it on the other side of the desk.

This reminds me of my extremely racist professor (reversed racist, actually) I had for an English course...she knew she was a bad instructor, but always said that if the university ever tried to get rid of her due to so many complaints that she'd throw the racial card out...

This was after she refused to teach the obvious redneck guy (he never even said a word in class!), kicked four other people out because they spoke up about her constantly taking class time to bitch about "white folk", and would give awesome scores on the nonexistent assignments that the only black dude in the class never did (he was cool shit), yet give the people who actually did the work C's & D's & told them that their responses to her VERY specific questions were too "racially-charged".

The kid shouldn't have done that.

Shouldn't have felt it necessary to do, either.

Honestly though, I'm probably not the best one to be talking about teachers.

Edit - finally remembered to check the vid, after missing it most of the week at work.
Ranked No. #1 in initial quality

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

I always thought teachers should get paid more and positions should be more competitive in terms of compassion/grades/experience.

At my school education majors were considered fairly easy/blow off and people that didn't really care went into them. If I was really smart and cared about teaching kids but I was going to make 30K/year I probably wouldn't do it based on finances alone when I can make six figures doing something else.

I never understood tenure or how teachers never get fired either. What is the point in that? At the school I'm at now professor have gotten terrible evaluations year after year and when someone speaks to the dean he acknowledges the bad evals and brushes it off. There are people out there that actually care about teaching and would love that job but some idiot has it instead.

And he is right, this is the next generation of kids. That teacher will be one of the ones complaining about how they are immature and want everything handed to them, are wild, driving our country into the ground, etc. (not saying that this stuff isn't true, but she has a chance to help make a difference).

This, alongside the unfortunate fact that parental oversight is lacking to an extent that teachers have a legitimate gripe, both problems courtesy of nanny-state imperatives.

Education takes it right in the ass.

Ya that is true.. some parents just don't care unfortunately. I know a mom that when her kid didn't do his homework she lets him stay home from school so he doesn't get in trouble.. da fuk? She'll be one of those parents talking to her son's boss twenty years from now about how he should get a promotion. She also makes excuses for why her daughter isn't working hard at her extra-curriculars (then is mad when she doesn't perform well).
