    Computer problem

Trying to fix another issue for my mom. Long story short, she was trying to do some prep work for a Bible School program she is in charge of and put a disc in her laptop. She said it wasn't opening properly so she went in to try to run it and this is when the issue occured.

Basically a large majority of her program files were pointing to open with Microsoft Word. I messed around with it a little and I went to change the Adobe program to actually open with Adobe and when I did, every program that was pointing to open with Word, changed to open with Adobe.

Any ideas on what I can do to fix this? I can get IE open so I do have the option of downloading programs from the web on it.

    Oh, OS is Windows 7.

I'm going to try to some more research on my own, but any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't think Adove is the issue. It started off as everything being linked to open with Word. I changed only Adobe and it changed everything to Adobe.

I will look into registry fix programs. I figured that was the way to start.

Sounds like a file type association problem. I don't have my pc with me right now, but that seems to be the issue.

I downloaded a registry fix and it found 777 errors.

I am saving some important pictures and files before I let the registry fix do its thing, just in case.
