Hey guys,
I really want to start retuning my car with Chrome V2 but I'm wondering if I have boost leak problems. I have tested in the past (probably a year or two ago) and fixed a few little leaks. After that I would pressure test and the compressor (which is huge) could easily pressurize the system but how long should the system hold pressure on it's own? It would drop down in less than a minute. This was way back when so I don't remember what stuff I plugged on the intake and if I turned the engine over the avoid valve overlap (is that an issue in these cars?) though..
Anyway, now my fuel trims are low: 118 mid: 108 and high is right around 100. Looks like a boost leak to me.. It is a pain for me to get to an air compressor now that I am at school but I don't want my tune to compensate for a boost leak and/or lose power from them so if you think it is a leak I will hold off. Also should mention that my O2 sensors are probably 170K miles old.
Secondly, how the hell do you use Evoscan?! I've used MMCd for a long time and loved it. Kind of figured out Evoscan 2.6 when I was running Chrome V1 but all I could do is select my parameters and bring up the log in Evoscan with a graph where I had to click on the graph to see data. Now I have 2.9 and I can't even figure out how to pull up the log in Evoscan (which I didn't like that much even with 2.6). I could just pull it up in Excel but the computer I use for tuning is old as hell and is SLOWWWW running any office programs.
Also, do you guys know anything about the map tracer feature and such? Seems like a nice idea.. I used it when I had the eManage and liked it but not sure how that translates to the stock ECU and Evoscan.
Thanks!
