Ahahaha I love Jerry Jones as a GM. My best friend is a Cowboys fan. So it lends itself to easy pickings on him. Pity Carolina has been so abysmal over the last several years.

Maybe they could put him in left field, cuz he sure ain't no shortstop.
Ranked No. #1 in initial quality

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

I think Tebow on the Patriots is a good thing overall. Despite his inability to read a defense or remember plays, he's a very good athlete. Train him and put him in a position like fullback/halfback or tight end and keep him there - he will be a serviceable NFL player due to his natural athletic ability. Any good coaching staff should be able to do this with him. As long as he isn't in a position to throw the ball, he'll be fine. He's the kind of athlete that the team likes, he'll drink the koolaid and do as he is told.

The deal is two years with no guaranteed money - this is a completely riskless deal for the Patriots organization. If they succeed in whatever the ultimately end up trying to do with him it will make them look good.

with all of that being said, everyone I've spoken to has already agreed that Tebowing is to be outlawed in the city and that the first people that are seen tebowing will be set on fire.

The other option that leaves everybody tebowing is also being tossed around - we might just change the definition to "sitting the fuck down and shutting the fuck up" and see how that goes.

The curious thing is for the limited action he's seen, his stats are actually pretty good. Basically 1,000 yds on 200 carries. That's 5ypc average, not bad at all. And 12 TD's. That said, I still wouldn't want him on my team. He's a distraction, thanks to the obsessive media.

    Bill seems to disagree:

and his stats....eh. i'd rather have the arm than a running QB.

    TL;DW

Hey, you're the one that's happy to have him. I don't see the fullback/halfback/TE thing happening. Not that I disagree, that would certainly be his most viable option. He comes across as "I'm a QB or nothing" guy, ala Collin Klein mentality. I suppose if anyone can mold him into something, it's Belichick. Good luck.

The first minute and a half sum it up basically - TL; DW: questions about Tebow -> "we're doing what we think is in the best interest of the team" over and over.

If he doesn't end up a FB/HB/TE, he won't get much (if any) field time and ultimately be cut. I'm interested in seeing if they can find a use for him - because if they do I feel that he'll ultimately help out the team. If not, then it isn't really much of any loss at all (even financially - zero money guaranteed).

But yes, I do have to agree with the "QB or nothing" type of vibes - he has definitely given off those waves. If we can mold him into something else, awesome. Wouldn't be the first time we've done that - Edelman was a QB in college and is now a very serviceable WR and kick returner.

For what it's worth though, he was a decent passer at Florida. It wasn't until he started trying to change his mechanics to appease NFL folks that it really went down the shitter.

The Pats have the talent where they need it to afford to take him on as a project.
