    na ecu in rt tt

wil my NA ecu work in a tt? thinking about picking up a tt for cheap but needs a new ecu will get one if i get the car but tight on cash as it is atm so saving on the ecu for a min would really help ... how much should it cost to rebuild the tt's ecu was quoted at 400 anyways thanks for the help in advance (both the same year cars or least both are 1st gens btw)

No it won't work. Take a look on ebay for twin turbo ECUs.

It will plug in and it will probably start but you do NOT want to do that. It will not run right and will most likely screw something up. Like Blackstealth said find one on ebay or find one from a member. They go for about 250-300.

BTW I'f you can borrow one from a friend you might want to try it out before buying the car unless you are getting a killer deal.

I would get it to Seth PDQ.

Should be $250 to rebuild. $400 is high.

This has been discussed so many times. Just buy a TT ECU for it. They are going for fairly cheap now.

If cash is so tight that you can't afford an ECU for the car, you might want to remember the money involved in dealing with the entire car.

Vacuum reduction, Powdercoated misc, cruise relocate, Evo9 BOV, Custom catch cans, Russell fuel filter, SS braided fuel lines, High flow fuel loop, Autogage fuel gauge, Catless DP, DNP Y-pipe, Fuel pump hotwire.

I would like to know where these cheap 1st gen ECUs are everyone keeps talking about. Decided to put a 94 TT ECU in my 91 VR4. Looks like very few changes are needed to make it work.
