With all due attention to every possible safety consideration - after all, at any busy 4-way you're gonna have several front-row witnesses; it's a bad time to be stupid - when leaving an intersection, if someone else tries, I make sure I try a little bit harder.
Ranked No. #1 in initial quality

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

Meh, I leave normal 80% of the time, but stay at their door. If they get frisky, I remain at their door. If they get froggy, bye bye...

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!

I always look both ways before I pull out if it's it's a red light or 4 way stop.

Funny that I am attentive at lights, because to anything else if its more than 5 seconds I am usually like "Oh look a squirell."

Every time im a the red light at the line, ill wait till it turns green but before that ill rev up the car a couple of times while im checking the weather/facebook updates/texts/phone calls/my make up.

Then, when it turns green, ill just wait till somebody lays on the horn and then ill go very slowly. Sometimes it scares me and ill let the car die because I cant drive a stick.

Since I live so close to Michigan & the natural tendency to drive like idiots originated in the U.P. (true story, look it up), I pretty much give it hell till 5 above the speed limit to make sure the person alongside me doesn't try to shoot out in front of me to make his/her turn two blocks up.

The other time I usually try to be ahead of them is on the last light before it switches to two-lanes (heading back to semi-normality in WI). There are three potential outlets for MI drivers (four if you include the liquor store across the bridge), so their natural tendency to try to get around you off the light, only to slam on the brakes w/no turn signal, is much greater than the average person.

I rarely do it in the Stealth, because I know the car attracts attention from the men in blue, but once and a while, I like to show off to the gods of acceleration. In my Infiniti FX 45, I do it much more often. A lot of people in so called "fast cars" are surprised to get dusted by an SUV. But it's a 330 hp, V8, AWD with traction control SUV. It's pretty much a sports car in SUV clothing.

I typically drive about 10mph over, so I accelerate to that speed in a linear fashion. I can't stand it when people press the gas, get up to about 20mph, then I guess they decide they're going too fast, so then they creep up to 30, and then by that time they've gone a quarter mile or more and they see a speed limit sign that says it's 40, so then they hurry up and get to 40. This seems to be the norm around here unfortunately.

Pretty much a combination of these three. I always look left and right as the light is changing, and accelerate linearly up to around 2-5 over and cruise. No show boating, but it is enough to leave four out of five cars far behind.
