Bing is desperate. Their "attack" ads on Google lately are PA-THE-TIC.

They are very late to the game. Its just as bad as Google trying to copy Facebook with Google Circles. Once you grow that big (Google in Search, Facebook is Social Networking), you will need a lot more than money and ads to topple the giant.

Lol, saw it on reddit, didn't realize it was that old.

As for "getting scroogled". If you really believe that microsoft isn't collecting info on its users to sell ads, than why would they want to have a search engine? Search engines make money on smart advertisements.

Also, I tried using Bing's shopping search tool, and it brought up all kinds of unrelated shit, google was much more refined and accurate in finding the items I was trying to buy.

Microsoft CLEARLY states they DO NOT troll your email, hand out all your info on an app purchase... I would suggest if you think otherwise, please lets form a class action and sue them silly...

I love the atypical googler response... MS does it... "oh man Microsoft invades your farking privacy man, they suck!"... Google does it... "so does everyone man!, they need to make money dude!"... hah

As for Google shopping, yes those are paid results... meaning If I want to pay enough, my result will show up at the top. Your seeing what people paid for you to see...

You can still sort the list of items. I can arrange by price which gives me many options. You do not have to select the very first one on the list.

Tell me, how does Microsoft make money off its search engine if it doesn't data mine?

i use hotmail precisely because MS doesn't data-mine the everliving shit out of it like google does with gmail.

that said, i still use google for searches. i refuse to ever log in though. yes i have a google account, but i wont' use it. i don't need them tying my phone number to my browsing habits and other stuff.
