i'm fine, luckily i didn't make the trip into the city. had i gone in, i probably would have been in that exact area; that part boylston street has a few of my favorite bars on it. i was even there a couple of times recently for the syracuse ncaa tourney games.

i have some friends and family who were running the race & spectating in that area, luckily none of them were hurt or injured.

it was kind of surreal having photos taken by my friends and family popping up on facebook showing me the carnage first hand right along side the non-stop news coverage.

all that being said, the first responders did an amazing job there. runners and spectators who were doctors, nurses, etc. who were on the spot acted immediately which definitely helped save lives. the body count would have been a lot higher if it weren't for some of these people. the amount of people running toward the first explosion to help out was staggering. some of these people were even using their volunteer laynards as turnicates on some of the vitcims.

crazy shit. i consider myself lucky that none of the people who i know were there got injured.
