Customer has car towed in spraying E85 everywhere

I always carry a fire extinguisher since I started moding the fuel system. It would be a shame for a nice car like that to go up in flames.

Somebody asked me why I carried one the other day. Insurance on a very large investment lol.

E85 doesnt burn lol, we tried to light the grill with it once at NG, would not light up at all.

reminds me I am going to have to replace the line from my bulkhead to the stock steel line. Has to be 5 years old.

We use Russel pro classic and it is E safe.

I am doing it in all black braided nylon with black on black fittings. It will look mean. Except under car gets braided stainless steel for abrasion resistance.

I have 7 yr old lines in my car, been running ethanol/methanol for 3 of those years and at 36psi of boost and 4 pumps my lines see high pressure. Not one drop. All I can guess is these lines are either cheap china hose or just some generic that is not E safe.

We are getting it all squared away, will even do some tuning to see what if there is any more power to be had.

I love when a competing company makes a post knowing it will make our company look bad whether warranted or not. Heaven knows we have observed untruths and corrected issues on others products/ service but we don't try to build our business by trying to hurt theirs.

Courtney has been and we consider him to be a customer and a friend who has dealt with us a long time and hate his being upset with us.

There were several issues with getting Courtney's line fixed (which was not a new line BTW). We had done many things to try help him on this issue even though it was not under warranty since he has been such a good customer including getting a local mechanic to his house, offering to tow his car to a local shop, and John our shop foreman had even offered to drive out to Courtney's to repair it himself, but he didn't get any response from Courtney.As a matter of fact we believed Courtney had gotten it repaired on his own because we never heard back from him- sorry if we dropped the ball on that Courtney.

When get in tomorrow will re-familiarize on the time frames on when the different things were installed on the car. but I believe the fuel kit was installed several years prior probably when Chris (Ninja) worked at the shop and back before everyone started running E85, but until I have facts I don't want to speculate too much.

Also, originally our dual feed kits were built to the design and using parts supplied by our purchase of IPO (which was Chris's company before he sold it and its product lines out to us and as far as I'm aware were not Chinese parts). Over the past couple years we have made numerous improvements to the kits including using lines made of different materials as ethanol has become more prevalent.

Once again our apologies to Courtney on behalf of myself and the company.

Everyone going cray talking teflon/PTFE don't need to go that far unless you really have the money to spend on that.

I would trust the Russel Pro Classic as MANY have been using it for years with no issues on Ethanol, meaning muscle cars and such, Lots of info on lines and ethanol on Yellow Bullet forums. And Pro Classic is what I am redoing all of Courtney's lines in.

Am I missing something? I don't recall Chris trying to bash you or your shop. In fact I had not even thought that 3sx was involved till this post.

He is referring to the 3si post where the owner posted up. The Aeroquip PTFE is pretty affordable, when comparing it to other hoses that may or may not degrade with time.
