A lot of people don't know what they are here ether. I get a lot of those people that think it’s something else. Price of gas here in Tennessee is about $3.50-4.00 gal. Not many people can work on them ether.

Surprisingly I run into people that THINK they know these cars all the time. Most people think they are FAST and cant be beat by almost anything lol. I don't try to correct them too often.

One of the main diferances is that both the N/A's auto & manual are still AWD, the FWD cars were not available in either Japan or Europe
And of course only the JDM & UK cars have the steering wheel on the correct side

of course they're well known. but the funny thing is, people give you strange looks if yours has anything other than a pontiac badge on it.

alot of people know the cars but don't know much about them. some more then others tho.

but the general thought about them is Slow and outrageously heavy, tho anything under 4,000lbs these days is quickly becoming on the "lighter" side of cars.

I do love when people think the vr4 is slow, and then it walks them.... They aren't as "fast" as they use to be, but still have absolutely no problem keeping up with the majority of semi-sporty cars and what not made today.

unfortunately in the US if you have a genuine Mitsubishi GTO bad, people will think your stupid/ricer because the only GTO that exsists to most Americans is the Pontiac GTO

it just proves that americans are largely stupid fanboys. pontiac never produced anything worthy of those three letters.
