Window Regulator Question

My current passenger window regulator is having issues, so I bought one from the classifieds. I have questions about two of the plastic pieces.

1)


To the right of the cable (in the block section), is that a crack.. or is that crease supposed to be there?

2)


How could I fix that crack? Would a heavy duty glue do the trick?

I would try some two-part plastic epoxy for the known crack, but I don't think it'll hold up to the constant strain those pieces are under...Ideally, if you have access to a rivet gun & some flat stock metal 16-18 gauge, you could just reinforce that bracket & never have to worry about it again.
