3SX would max one on their dyno around 525AWHP. I'm almost surprised you guys ruined the stock FPR. I guess Ray, myself, and a few others on ethanol using the stock FPR have to have the increased flow for every bit of 25-30 psi plus we've tuned it out at idle to keep the idle AFRs from going rich. Maybe your FPR was old to begin with. An AFPR won't be a bad idea though.

As soon as the 400 went in, shot to 70psi at idle...bye bye w/e life was left in the fpr. Hasn't worked for shit since. Can't tune the car with a 70psi base pressure..lol

Is the stock return line enough for the 400? My pair of 255's run in parallel (so considerably less than 510 lph) with a stock return line cause 50 psi base even if the AFPR is completely open.

However, on Ray's old chameleon car he sold to a guy that put a 3.5L + 16Gs in he made 665AWHP and 748AWTQ. That's definitely impressive. It will be interesting to see how much tq the 3.5L will let the DR-750s make.
I think Ray's old chameleon car was dyno'd on e85 with those numbers, with outstanding results. But the pump gas numbers with 3.5L/16Gs are still very good -- I made 600awhp on that setup with 93-pump (no meth) about 5 years ago. Was a crazy torque monster too, 740awtq (700+ @ 4k rpm) with 3.5L/16Gs on race gas. It really is a wicked setup. Felt like I was driving a V8. I'm surprised more people haven't gone down that route, especially with the Ray/Merkel 3.4L Stroker which is practically a no-brainer if you're prepping/rebuilding a motor these days.

Yet to be determined, but I havnt ruled that out as being a possibility either.

This one is the OG one from 97. A new one is around 70 bucks so we're gonna see if a AFPR can get the pressure to a more reasonable level and as Adam mentioned above, see if the stock return can handle that much pump. We really dont want to change from the stock fuel lines since they are so reliable/trouble free vs aftermarket.

Yeah, I hear you. I had the aem fpr and it fits great, but I didn't like the pressure drop off on key off, so I went new oem.

Same here. I've ran mine for about 5-6 months. I'm pretty sure mine is the original one in the car. I did progressively go from a Walbro 255 to Aeromotive Stealth 340 to Walbro 485 as I kept running out of fuel so the initial turn key wasn't as big of a shock with the tune not being too far off at idle. If my base pressure was through the roof I wouldn't ever be able to lean out the car on ethanol. I can peg the AEM wideband past 20:1 AFR at idle with the walbro and 1000cc injectors but I definitely don't run it that way. Lol. All I can think of is that the FPR was probably worn out and going to fail anyways.
