CEL Code 53 No Spark Coil 3&6

So I've been trying to figure this out on my own for a while now, to no avail.

The PTU has been replaced with new OEM, Coils have been swapped around, and the code did not follow the coil

Some mildly suspect wiring has been repaired, specifically the connector that plugs into the coil pack.

I'm leaning towards the rebuilt ECU at this point, and based on what I've read here so far, it seems like a likely candidate. The last few times the car was started, it would fire up good and run properly for a minute or two before stumbling and throwing the code. I'm hoping someone wiser than I can tell me if I'm looking at an ECU issue, or something in the wiring.

91 VR4, so no crank/cam sensor issue. The part behind the cap in the second pic was there when i got it back from the rebuild, and it worked fine for 6 years, so im not sure if that is an issue....just seems like there's crap all over the board. Any help is greatly appreciated.

That ECU looks pretty gruesome... Pretty good chance that's the issue.

Have you checked all the connectors at the PTU and coils for pulled terminals? I've seen that happen before. Terminals pull out of the connector, and look OK externally, but aren't making a connection.

I've checked the connectors over pretty thoroughly, even replaced the connector that plugs into the coils. I will run through them again when I get a chance. I'm definitely leaning towards the ECU at this point, the board just looks nasty. Trying to locate a known good first gen to plug in before i drop the cash.
