Trust in people seems harder and harder to have. I mean if the guy knew you were planning to get it running and drive it what did he think was going to happen. He's probably pretty lucky the wrong person didn't show up to buy it (for all I know you might of chopped him up and put him in the hatch) lol. Seriously though, that's a bummer, I'm not sure how I would have handled it.
I would have never flown in, I would have rented a truck and trailer from Uhaul and drove out and towed it instead. That is what I did with my Stealth, I wasn't chancing it because I knew it was in rough shape and the previous owner did not know what to do with the car. Worked out in my favor that way, it gave me time to tinker with the car and test a few things out at my home and I didn't need to rush to a resolution to drive it home.
Your 1993 Dodge Stealth is one of 6351 that received VIN numbers. Based on the order of the serial numbers, your car was the 5212nd out of the 6351 that were made that year.
Your car was built in the 3rd week of February 1993. Of the 47380 vehicles made at the Nayoga plant, your car was the 40537th vehicle to be created that year.
There are 281 other cars that were made with both the same interior and exterior color. There are 779 cars with the same exterior color and 2316 cars with the same interior color.
Note: The production order is assigned based on the order of the serial number.
ok, now its my turn to respond.
first off let me start by saying how sorry I am that all of this happened and I have a lot of respect for J.fast. but he did leave out a few important facts. And that really is pissing me off right now.
1) WE!!! not he!!!! wrenched on the car for 16 hours together (I even missed 7 hours of school to help him and get him on his way before his deadline).
2) yes the car ran. THE CAR JUMPED TIMING WHILE WE WERE PRINING THE ENGINE AND WE BOTH HEARD IT. how could I have prevented that? he even had a 60k set of parts with him. but wanted to wait till the car was running to put it on.
3) WHY WOULD I INVITE A 3S TECH TO MY HOUSE KNOWING THAT HE WAS GOING TO STRAT THE CAR BEFORE HE BOUGHT IT? WHAT WOULD BE MY END GAME IN ALL OF THAT?
4) he chose to put his own gaskets, spark plugs, wires, and banjo bolts because he didnt trust mine.
5) prior to him coming I told him that I have every tool that he would need to work on the car right here.
so half of you guys can just drop that hard to trust people bullshit. all I can say is that im sorry that things worked out the way that they did and J.fast was out all of that money. but to say that I was dishonest is just stupid.
also btw green-lantern dont worry about the wrong person showing up at my house and acting stupid. I have a brand new glock that I still didnt get a chance to fire at the range yet.
and one last time J.fast IM really really sorry that the car didnt work out. and I know im done for on this platform because you even told me how much respect you have on here, so I know nobody is going to listen to my side of the story, But im not gunna let only half the story be told. Im gunna step off of this board for good because I know that im not welcome here anymore.
so go ahead and flame me guys im ready

lol wow, hang on man, I was getting one story here. I figured somebody would end up posting though. With Jeramey's comments I still stand by my post but there is always 2 sides of every story. Don't tell me you wouldn't feel the same giving the info so far. I don't know what the deal was between you guys, I was commenting on his post. I'm glad you are posting your side. Not like I know who or what happened, don't lash out at me because of it.
What do you mean 3stech anyway?
Sounds like you had a bad day. Sorry about that.
I got many parts through cbr, didn't have a problem with anything so far
"Why pay for a sports car, keep is clean and shiny, mod it, and drive it like a bitch?"

he told me he was a 3stech and owned his own shop.
hell yea im having a bad day. I feel like shit because the guy is out all this money and time that I cannot repay (I did return his deposit.)
and now im stuck with a car that has valves kissing pistons. so yea your post pissed me off and I responded to it. you may not know me and you may not like me but there are 2 things you WILL learn about me.....I dont let people talk shit about me....... and when im wrong I admit it.
I don't think he owns a shop. Not that I'm aware of anyway. I thought he was saying he was a member of 3stech. (the private web site)
Chill man, I don't have ANY reason to dislike you other than one persons post. I didn't mean to make a bad situation worse. Just saying the info that was presented I would be mad also. Again, Sorry things didn't work out. If I can help let me know.
I cannot speak to the condition of the engine prior to my being there. Frankly, I really wanted it to work out but it didn't. There were a number of red flags and alarms going off in my mind when I first looked at this vehicle. However, I felt compelled to try and make it work.
I will say openly and honestly when I first saw the car clearly it was miss advertised. It wasn't the type of car I would have purchased. The rear spoiler was damaged, the rear bumper has chips and scratches all the way to the core. Every fender is dented, there's ripples in the rear fenders, the front bumper has scratches, the top clear on the roof has scratches all the way through to the back, window tint is peeling and etc.
My instinct told me to walk away, but I didn't. I made the decision to stick with it and wrench on it. I told Bill straight up that's not the type of car I would have bought and if I would have seen it in person I would walk away immediately but I was in Florida miles and miles away from my house and I would reevaluate my position depending on whether or not vehicle ran.
I bolted everything on to the point where I could get the oil pressure up to prime the engine and turbo chargers. I verified the base timing and had Bill fire the engine and all I heard was metal to metal. It was really late last night once I got the results... I was not in a position to jerk around the car any longer after I heard that. We can go with the Skip Timing Theory. I did not 100 percent confirm the timing after I heard engine noise. It was dark and late, I was tired, disappointed, and didn't care anymore. I knew the fun was over over and I was going to have to cut my losses.
