This one stings really really bad...

I purchased a set of turbochargers from Steven. Installed new turbo gaskets, water lines, oil lines, and hardware. Paid $120 for tools to be shipped out. Food, lodging, rental car, fuel, parking, and etc. $500 in plane tickets...

The biggest sting is my wife. She'll have this one on me for a looong time!

wow man that sucks, I'm assuming the seller wasn't truly honest about the condition of the engine or do you think he just didn't know?

That really sucks, but I feel like maybe you were a bit ambitious. Anytime I would buy a car that didn't run I'd assume the worst.

Sorry it didn't work out J. I hate buying cars remote but sometimes its worth doing the Risk / Reward thing. When we bought the Spyder it was the same deal.... had to fly out with money in hand - one way tickets - car rentals to drive from Minneapolis to the sticks of Wisconsin - and if we had gotten there and the Car wasn't as advertised it would really have sucked to have to walk away ....

My beating isn't done yet... $185 to check my tools... I'm either overweight on two bags (75lbs ea) or will be required to pay a third bag penalty of $125. I was forced to upgrade to first class to upgrade my bag weight from 50lbs to 70lbs. Cost me $150... I also just walked away from a tool briefcase so I didn't have to pay to check it. TSA wouldn't let me thru security with any metal items over 7" in length. Now Im starting to get pissed!

Wow, that sucks miserably!!! I know that TSA officials are only looking out for other people's safety, but they can sure be a major PITA sometimes!! I left a good amount of things I bought overseas back in Amsterdam's airport due to restrictions/weight & had like $100-$125 worth of Dutch specialty tulips seized by customs upon re-entering the states.

Sorry to hear it didn't turn out to be as nice of a deal as one first thought & that you're now out all that time, money, & energy!
