question on tranny fluid and 3sx short throw

    I have a 21 year old 1992 base , 76K miles
I ended up doing a new clutch stage 3+ SPEC kit (3sx). Prior to driving to a new job in tulsa from east tennessse I changed my tranny fluids using redline mix MTL/MT 85 50/50 as recommended in threads. Everything runs great, it just seems like at a lower viscosity it requires higher rev speed as I let the clutch out..is this normal? B4 the fluid change it didn't require 1750 to 2000 rpm at engage the clutch, more like 1200.

Second issue, I dont knowif I'm regretting doing a short throw shifter, but I put the best 3sx shifter in the car with the brass replacements for all the rubber grommets. The shifter is notchier, and even after having a shop look at teh shifter alignment; it seems like its not as smooth as it ought to be, any thoughts around what my fix would be??

Question, why did you get a stage 3+ spec clutch on a bone stock NA?

Short shifters are notchie like that.

People don't realize how notchy and really "sloppy" the STOCK shifter actually is... Adding a short throw shifter really only serves to amplify some of the inherent notchiness of the shift linkage because you have that same level of notchiness over a shorter travel of the shift lever. I have run almost all of the different short shifters that have come and gone for the 3S and they are all that way. Some do have different feels from others, but the bearing shifter is what's in my car now and I like it the best of the ones I've run over the years. But even different transmissions/cars will have different feels using the same shifter due to the transmissions being different (old original, rebuilt, awd/fwd, etc).
