yeah i know its really cheap. its for friends though, and im not out to ream them. the whole point is for them to save money and i can make some. pays for my tools generally. it would be different if these were random people... they are all my friends though.

Hahaha, I knew I'd get some witty replies out of some of you...

Sounds like we've got a lot of mechanics, a few merchants and an insurance salesman

April, what do you do with headlights? Guess I've never seen you talk about them...

    Who else is out there??

Haven't really messed with headlight lately... but I have a whole thread detailing what I do (so people don't ask me how to do it). Basically I robo & halo or carbon fiber wrap and halo.

I did/Do lots of side things, and it worked out very well in the end because I would have not been able to afford the VR4 with out them

-Flip Junkyard parts: Anything I knew could bring in good value that was dirt cheap from the yard that they had I usually snagged... Commonly was Superchargers from GM 3800's, they were about $35 a piece, and I could flip them for $100 AT LEAST all day long. I sold many for in the $250 range. Turbos is another thing, Either full turbochargers or just parts. Other things include Valve Covers (Honda ones that said VTEC were gold), ECU's, etc.
    -Mow lawns, Shovel Snow.
    -Fix cars
    -Weld shit.
-Scrap Metal - Was not hard to bring in $50-100 a day. I know some of those guys who would go in their everyday that dumpster dived would bring come out with $200+ a day.

Film dance recitals for a local studio, detail cars, used to sell dataloggers.. Pretty much those three and working some random jobs all the time (most I've made at an official job has been ~$11/hr! - guess that is why I am in school lol)

When I need something from a junkyard, I usually make a day of it. I'll spend about $200-$300 on about $1,000-$2000 worth of parts. It doesn't all sell right away, but it all sells.

I put my hustle into my career, but I did recently help my neighbor's kid on a spark plug change on his ES300. Supposed to be a 4-5hr $500 job. Did the plugs and coilpacks in 30 mins plus polished his hazed headlights for fun after. He showed his gratitude with a half gal of Jack. Works for me
