    Oil temp bung placement?

Got the oil pan out and looking to add an m12x1.25 bung for an oil temp sensor. Any suggestions on placement? This is where I am looking at right now. Nice flat spot toward the rear of the pan. I'm assuming the lower the better to catch temperature when the fluid is low? So basically where the pan starts to get flat.

    Thanks
    Antoni

I'd prefer to place it in a place that has flow.

usually I see them mounted near the oil pump housing, you can tee off the oil pressure fitting. Ideally I'd think coming off the oil filter housing would be best.

Standard fittings locations won't work well as I have a straight threaded sensor with a washer. Much like a drain plug. Also, I believe those locations are after the cooler so you aren't really seeing how hot the oil is getting.

Well I drilled and tapped my drain plug for mine. It's where the stock sensor is located on the Evo so I figured it was a good spot.

Annnd done... Welded a nut to the back of the pan. Flattened out the front with a file. Should have no problems with the seal.
