as long as there isn't a sudden stop at the end....the driver has a good shot at walkng away; provided, of course, there's ample safety features.

Look at the cage in the after pic. It is 100% solid, intact and not deformed. That saved his life. Craziness...sad but he is alive so it aint too bad.

Yep, looks like CRMO. they don't bend a whole lot typically, they just break like where you see in that one pic. That's my guess anyway.
