i am in a bad mood right now so im not going to go in depth, but the car is not very much quicker than it was before. i will need to put a lot more time into it before i am content. spools a little quicker, but again not a lot or anything.

What is the before and after setup you are comparing? Before and after boost leaks or vs 19t 3.0 setup?

Where do the 20gs hit 10psi and 15psi for you?

comparing before and after fixing my boost leaks.

ill go out later and test to see specifically when they hit those pressures. if i had to guess, i would say 2800ish for 10psi and 3300ish for the 15psi.

i raced a car last night that is a 118 trapping car. and besides the fact that i missed second twice REALLY bad, i didnt/wouldnt have pulled very hard on him. i was really hoping for a mid 120's car on pump.

now, granted, due to me fixing a bunch of leaks, my tune is all out of whack now. i am hitting 9's at wot, so i will need to put some more time into retuning it.

and my AFR at idle is still full lean even after recalibrating it, and it still smells really rich. just not sure what to do.

If you can't trust your widebands, don't drive it. AEM wideband/gauge is cheap and works.

If its not blowing black smoke, its probably not horribly rich. Put in new plugs. Let it idle for awhile and pull your plugs. You'll be able to tell from that.

You'll still hit the same peak boost before and after. The turbos before had to work much harder to hit the same boost but they can do it. The only difference is a little in spool probably a couple hundred rpms and then more area under the curve. I would finish tuning it before you get down in the dumps. It makes a large difference in your trap speeds. I gained a good 10-13mph after fixing boost and tune related issues running a much lower boost too.

thanks for the encouragement. i just dont think leaning it out would make that big of a difference, but idk. im still new to the tuning game.

im really just dissapointed because it doesnt feel like the car picked up very much when i turned it up 3psi, and i read threads like abrams where he picked up like 50 whp for less than 1psi of extra boost. i didnt cut any corners on this build so im not sure what is wrong here.

If you are running 9:1 it will make a big difference to lean it out. You probably won't pick up 50hp per pound of boost with 20gs though

its like 9.9 or 9.8:1 and yeah i dont expect 50hp per lb of boost haha. i didnt specify that i guess. but i feel like i gained 5hp per pound of boost which is not right. im going to put it back on wastegate, and tune it all over again.

You're probably down 100 or more hp with the AFR being that rich.
