    Starbucks coffee pod machines

Anyone using a Verismo 850 coffee machine?

From what I can tell from this picture it's the same or similar machine to what I bought at Aldi for $80. The one I have is a re-badged K-Fee machine. Is the Starbucks one the same?

But the coffee is not great and I'm thinking it might be worth buying the Starbucks coffee to test it. Is it any-good?

As with everything starbucks, its frickin expensive. Wife got one of the Keurig ones for Christmas and she loves it. Coffee is never cold, switch flavors from one cup to next, etc. the pods are showing up everywhere cause they bring the cost of a cup of coffe up from about 3 cents to dam near 60 cents...but thats still a whole lot less than starbucks
if you cant fix it with a hammer...then you have an electrical problem

Is there a cheap place to buy the pods online other than Amazon?

I bought a reusable Keurig pod with a screen that accepts regular grounds. It comes in handy when I'm feeling cheap.

    I absolutely love my Keurig.

I like coffee but I'm the only one that drinks it and I only have one cup a day so if I open a bag of grounds it gets stale before I finish it. It is also a PITA to clean the machine/throw out filters/measure grounds/etc.

I just buy K-cups in bulk on Amazon (~$0.50/cup). At my school they recently installed Evive stations which is also convenient. You buy a bottle and you can put it in the machine and it will clean it and fill it with filtered water. This way I fill up my bottle with my Keurig at home before class then I can have it cleaned and filled with water for lunch/the rest of the day. Never have to clean anything!

The bottle also has marking on the side so I know exactly how high to fill it with creamer = no spoon to get dirty either!

You can get the reusable things for it but to me that defeats the purpose. You can get a reusable filter for any coffee maker.. It is a lot cheaper though.

I have been looking for a reusable pod for mine but can't find any. So far there are none for the k-fee system. There is a company over here working on one but it's still a few months off. might just have to wait for that.
