Its nice and warm/toasty....
Well she officially got out of the garage today!
The Good:
- She moves under her own power .
- The trans shifts like butter.
- The clutch feels awesome.
- The brakes feel awesome.
- She moves under her own power.
The Bad:
- I need to bleed the clutch again (I knew).
- There is an oil leak I am guessing is the rear return, if not I am fubar'd. There is coolant sitting on the cross member back there as well, but I believe that is from the TB coolant lines when I removed the turb last.
- I cant get it to idle with an afr that registers at all. It is lean as hell, and I have no clue why. The latencies are what is given o the manufacturers site, I changed the injector size both ways to see if a difference was made, it was not. Cruising it hits target afr 14.7 +/-.
- There is a fuel issue as once I hit a certain rpm the afr goes full lean.
- I still need to bleed the PS.
So, some mysteries to be solved. I will do a pressure test again once it cools down, or tomorrow what ever comes last...![]()
And it begins... Lol. Unfortunately, there's always issues to work out for awhile at first on a build. It's usually stupid little stuff that adds up quite a bit.
I have not gotten to use my flashed ecu yet despite owning one for about 10 months now.I can't offer too much advice but do you know what your low fuel trims are? How much +/- are they and are they both positive, negative, opposite? You say cruising is 14.7 which is good but what are your mid fuel trims showing up as? You shouldn't have to mess with your latency and injector size very much unless they're extremely far off. Given that you have started up the car and can drive it you may not need to adjust them at all. That may be something for Greg to chime in about.
You may have some vacuum leaks. What's your fuel pressure at idle? I don't know if your AFPR is working correctly. I'm surprised increasing the size of the injector didn't help. Have you made changes to the coolant temperature fuel enrichment, cranking IPW, and post start enrichment timer vs coolant temp tables for your larger injectors? Those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head but there may be more. It's in Greg's tuning guide. Given I don't know your fuel trims I'm not sure you should jump to this right away but it may be necessary due to your VE being vastly different than stock. You have quite a few mods so you may need to log airflow at idle, log your low fuel trims, and then see how much fuel you need to add to the VE table for the airflow range of the low fuel trim. I'm thinking you may need to wait on adjusting the VE table and dial in your fuel trims first. Maybe someone else can chime in.
