Thread: CoopKill's Mistress Makeover Thread [Pic Heavy]

That was a 5sp car, but I don't think there's a tangible difference. The only risk I see is the bottom 1/3 or so of the flywheel is exposed. You could probably rig a cover if that's a concern. I drove through heavy FL torrential rain and never had a problem, though. On the upside, it could aid in cooling the clutch/FW assembly.. I did have extraordinarily good 'luck' with my RPS clutch and FW combo on that car -- 30K miles of \spirited use, lots of launching and racing, etc.. before the car was sold, and was never an issue when I still had visibility to the car. I'd leave it and move on.

Yeah, I looked and only could find a small area around the starter exposed about 3" long.

    LMAO,

Yes tried using the old gasket with some mitsu gray to patch her up when assembled weeks ago until the new ones arrived. The patched area held great, but the back side entirely failed which created lake dino-oil on the floor. A quick gasket/oil change after warmup fixed the issue. :0

    The startup...

Oil pressure issues still. Was 12-15lbs last night at temp. On the way to work this morning it is hovering 8-10lbs, and is not a gauge issue as the dumby light started flickering at idle in stop n go traffic. 28-32lbs cruising at 2300rpm. Will be bypassing the oil cooler to be sure there is not an issue there. After that the only things I can come up with are the restrictors (Machine shop says they are in), and possibly the bypass sticking? The pump has less than 3k on it, and had great pressure before rebuild...

Also, the plugs need to be swapped out as you can hear in the exhaust.

Damn man that sucks. That oil pressure is WAY to low, obviously.

Anyone know if the restrictors missing in the heads would cause this?

    Also using 5-30 oil.
