    dropped the tranny today...

Taking it to jacks on Tues to replace the 3rd gear synchro with a new one. This is the one TRE racing built that was on the car that austin STM broke the record with stock 9's with. It was starting to grind in third when i installed it, but now i helped it along with the NLTS. So, she will ready for the strip in a couple weeks

Took alittle over an hour for it to hit the ground. pretty damn easy now lol

What all are you having done to the tranny? I see they have a couple of rebuild options.

The way the billet one is it hits the dp barely. Just use a breaker bar to nudge it past. Done it a few times with it on. Saves a lot of time lol. Plus the dp is curved just enough

Do you do this as you separate the trans from the block or can you seriously slide your t-case off the output shaft with the DP in place while the trans is still bolted to the block?
