Dropped a washer with the plenum off...

...and watched it bounce off my 3SX intake covers. Best $20 I ever spent.

    Cover those intakes guys!

Yeah I've always just used rags, but sometimes the rag works its way off of a corner or something and allows for a possibility of something getting in. I like how these sit flat against the surface and pretty much ensure that nothing will get in there ever

I have developed the habit of basically pulling the plenum with one hand and putting on the cover with the other. Can't be too careful.

Even though I watched the washer fall, I still had to take a 10 minute break to recover from the initial "oh sh*t" feeling, lol.

Haha! I usually tape it with like painters tape all across or put a rag across.

The phreak blew his motor from dropping a bolt in there. It's a sad time if you watch it go in.

I like to use double sided tape. It shows what all would have gone in there if it wasnt there.

Just also make sure nothing got down the v into the t-belt area. I had a friend that dropped a copper washer down there, didn't say anything, went to fire the car, hole in the timing belt and 12 bent intake valves.
