Making the 2013 NG the best ever!!
your right, I came up on Tuesday, my wife came up Thursday and drove 8 hours by herself with my 6mth old and 5yr old, getting stuck in an accident traffic jam for over an hour (not moving = bad when the little guy is sitting still in a car)... was the auto-cross day needless to say the calls I was getting from her were less then pleasant.... I fully understand not coming, it is much easier to be at home with a new child but just putting it out there that you would be amazed what the little guy (or girl) will do to be with mommy and daddy... I know there are pictures of my little one crashed in my wifes arms from last year, will he remember it? probably not, but did he have fun? most deff yes!!!
Von and Chris are excellent parents and are super family oriented. They love having the kids along, even though I'm sure they'd be the first to tell you they can be a handful. They really are inspirational parents, and I imagine Von's trying to say that any activity, regardless of how inconvenient or difficult it may seem becomes enhanced manyfold by including your children/family in it. I only hope that Jennifer and I will have the same fortitude to drag our children along with us when that day comes. Von and Chris really inspire us.
Plus there's no excuse to miss a good time like the NG!

"I don't actually work on cars, I just talk about them on the internet."
Yea, but we can leave them behind Greg
And trust me, the boy will be at plenty of gatherings. I was grown up being hauled to BMW motorcycle rallies across the country my whole childhood. It was some of the greatest times of my childhood. I was in a sidecar at age 2.
I'm just not comfortable making that trip with a 3 month old. And to be quite honest, that truck has left us in so many bad situations, I wouldn't risk the drive with the baby regardless of his age, until we get some consistently reliable use out of that truck. As it is, we can't get a solid month out of it without breaking and leaving us stranded somewhere.
He will be with us at the next NG though![]()

We are thinking about bringing the whole fam this year...the hotel will be a deciding fact for this, need to at least have an indoor pool.
Em, I what your thinking about attending with a new born, but at that age all the way up until they become "toddler" this is the easiest stage. That is because they sleep alot, and will spend time being held or in a infant carrier. It is when they have learned to walk that it becomes a hair pulling stress level.
