really starting to get into the f-body... anyone got any experience/info?

lately ive been browsing the internet looking at some z28's. i know a lot of people on here hate mustangs and camaros but has anyone ever owned a 98-02 f-body? ive been looking for a 2nd project car that will be more drag orientated than daily driving and the z28 with the rs ground effects really grew on me quick. but for some reason i hate how plain the SS looks... reminds me of a Chrysler Sebring.

opinions? any years to stay away from, or years that are more desirable? anyone got experience with any GM small blocks or nitrous? GM trannys and rear ends? any experience with setting up a solid axle rwd car in general???

at this point im trying to decide weather it would be easier to build a camaro or another vr4.
    the basic go fast bits...
forged short block, Billet DR1000's, 680cc injectors, meth inj, FMIC, MAFT, Apexi Neo, hotwired 255lph fuel pump.

I actually really like the 98-02 camaro. A V8 6 speed would be pretty sweet.

im obsessed with the sunset orange metallic Z28's. the silver and white look nice but the orange really looks good imo.

I just want to know what it takes to get a camaro from stock to this.

that car sounds great and is a monster off the line.
