Stoops is from Ohio I think. At any rate, with the interviews he's had about it since he hasn't exactly said no he's not going.

if he is from Ohio, that could be part of the impetus. Throw in the changes to the playoff style system and strength of schedules mattering, maybe he think he's better off leaving OU now rather than trying to navigate that minefield next year?

There is one coach who could turn it around... He has never had a losing team... and he just interviewed for the job...

his overall game win loss record is 229–79–2

Jim Tressel... or it could be fake rumors

I read that this isn't the first time Stoops has used the prospect of leaving for the NFL to get a pay raise from OU... I'll be floored if he leaves. He just built a ridiculous house in the middle of that waste land.

Called it. Great hire. He's a really good guy, and a spectacular coach.

    Taking FSU, tonight.

    ditto.

Texas will be better next year. it might take a year to adjust but they'll be back on top of the Big12 or whatever it's called right now.

I'm glad the officials kept the flags in their pockets most of the game and just let the guys play, but not wild about that PI call in the end zone, or the missed horse collar/facemask on the deep FSU pass. Ball looked to be at least a foot away from either play, I think I would've said that was uncatchable. Tight coverage for sure, but the hand on the hip was unlikely to have changed the way that turned out.

With Gus running down the sidelines trying to call time out on that play as well, I am forced to wonder why the coaches don't have a button that alerts the officials that they want to call a time out or to challenge?

Only got to watch part of the game, but what I did see was fantastic. Great game.
