well I wonder if Stoops has anything cleaver to say about defense now?Baylor kicked their ass up and down the field.

Last night was awesome. I was flipping between the Baylor and the Stars game. Both my teams won!

Agreed ou was over rated, but were you genuinely impressed with baylor? The first quarter and a half was very disappointing. I was expecting more and think texas can compete with them.
Ha, yeah, texas could lose every game remaining.. or win them all. I see a 3-1 sort of finish. Case will blow one. Unless ash comes back... either way, 3-1 may earn the fiesta bowl.
Texas should beat wvu, tech isnt real (& we always beat them in austin), osu isn't getting the qb play anyone expected (again, game in austin. We beat them in stillwater last season), and baylor won't be the same team in a few weeks. Already lost their #2 receiver last night.
The first part of the game was vanilla. That's not unusual at all. OK blew their wad early, and then Baylor steamrolled them. I don't see UT, nor anyone in the B12, beating Baylor. They can literally play with, and/or beat, any team in the nation. No other B12 team can even remotely dream of making that claim.
Jeremy
Ou doesn't have a wad to blow this year. Their d-line is awful, unable to stop the run at all for 2 years now, and their qb play is worse. Even the strengths have been failing - wr's have been dropping balls, DBs getting exposed. A&M is killing ou's recruiting.
Baylor's top 2 RBs got dinged up too.
Baylors o-line is awesome, the schemes are good... vanilla? I saw poor execution.
Sorry, its still baylor. They dont have depth. Even their greatest seasons include multiple losses. They gotta prove it to me... 5 consecutive weeks of real football? Not sure they can do it. And if they do? What are they going to do against a Bama or Stanford with a month to prep while Baylor's offense tries to keep its rhythm in practice? We've seen this before.
That's not what I meant about OU. I mean they gave it all they had in the beginning, and all it took was BU adjusting, cleaning up the slop, and getting into rhythm. That's what a good football team does. Who gives a shit about the first 1.5 quarters? Scoreboard.
And yes, I fully believe BU can play with Bama and/or Stanford, or anyone else. It's not my team, but I'm not blind. That's a loaded, solid, football squad.
Jeremy
I'll take Baylor over UT.
I hope you're right, J.
Assuming Bama stays unbeaten, who matches up with them the best? FSU? OSU? Stanford? Baylor?
Not sure anybody matches up perfectly, but I think FSU has the athletes to maybe match up and give Bama's defense some trouble, as does Baylor. Not sure that their defenses can stop Bama's offense either though. Stanford lacks the offense IMO to pull it off. Not sold on OSU on either side of the ball honestly, but sadly they may be the best match up there is.
