there's is the legit legal aspect of this if in fact it can be proven that he collected the money if it is enough. income taxes.

that being said, I think it's BS they can't do things off season outside of the school to make money. every other student can get a job using their skills to make money hell they can get a job in the field they got thier scholarship in. why can't a player? because it's not "academic" because it is more profitable? or is it so the NCAA can have a monopoly on making the money? the NCAA is so damned corrupt it's sickening.

There's a case out in the 9th circuit in Kalifornia that is not boding well for the NCAA. Appeal was struck down for NCAA and EA. This could have major implications for the NCAA. They profit from likeness, but student athletes can not. It's moving to class status, as well. I had a personal discussion with the AD of WVU about this last week. Our AD, Oliver Luck, is an attorney (degree from Texas) and he thinks this thing has some real teeth to rapidly expand.

texas moving to a hurry up, run heavy O that should most closely resemble okie st with some oregon formations. Unfortunately, we have a ton of slot type receivers, no physical outside receivers, and our o-line, while experienced, isnt ideal for this. The receivers will limit our success with quick horizontal passes and limit our ability to stretch the field - both "kind of" important with this o. I still predict a big jump from last year because that o depended on TE blocking that we still wont have. If you recall, our o last year was still pretty salty... when ash was healthy and we werent playing OU. lol... that a year 3 has been special for basically every mack brown qb.

Physical fall practices resulting in tons of injuries (nothing major, yet) but should help the d not suck shit thru a straw. Our LBs should be better, but again, if hicks (who mike2nd called a bust) gets hurt like he did at miss in 12, we are fuct. At least our d is getting reps against the 1st team in HUNH, not the freakin scout team.

Harrison, our juco transfer LT (nfl talent) probably wont ever play because he took online courses at byu (ncaa stopped recognizing these a few yrs ago) ... and our academic support staff is absolutely awful. I guess this makes our week 2 trip to provo a lil more interesting.

an attourney in Dallas, Tx just informed me of something I found very interdasting.

basically Manziel will not be suspended because the evidence of his signings will never come to light because the guy that produced the info to the NCAA did so voluntarily. since he/she did that voluntarily and the video was not obtained by the NCAA via court supena that A&M could and would sue the person and possible the NCAA for lost revenue and would win. apparently this has happened in Tx before or is at least on the books some how. I didn't do much digging and we had work to do.

Its a hersay accusation until the NCAA gets its hands on the accuser, but you can bet that dude wants to stay hidden.

And I sure Manziel will play it off like they did Cam... He didn't see any money, he was unaware money was being handled for his signatures. Its that simple.

NCAA can't do squat, its a great "out" and works. NCAA players wanting to cash in should simply say "go ahead parents, get rich off me, just don't tell me squat about it"... Problem solved... NCAA still a joke! Hang Pryor though! that shirt trader...
