Prepaid Phones... Straight talk?

Anyone use it?

45$ a month for unlimited data,voice and text is a pretty good deal.

I hear they will throttle your data if you get near 100 meg a day?

They ported the number in like 5 minutes.

I had to get an ATT micro sim from Walmart... They don't offer ATT anymore on their website... To many people picking ATT compatible I guess.

that's not prepaid. prepaid is like, i put 15 euro on my phone, and i use it up.

pre-paid is THE WAY to go for people who don't use data.

I have a phone that is flashed to Verizon prepaid 50 bucks a month unlimited. The best thing about it is when you run out at the end of the month. You can still use data just no text or calls. I only get service with Verizon where I live.

Straight talk will work for any GSM (sim card) phone. I purchased a good quality unlocked phone off Amazon and just bought the straight talk plan with sim card. I have data,text, and talk on my HTC phone for $45 a month. It works great although I don't use a lot of data compared to others. I was getting tired of Verizon adding fees every year. The cool thing is I can go anywhere in the world and throw their sim card in my phone and I have service.

that's a HUGE benefit if you live in europe. how there's no such thing as a universal plan (non-roaming) throughout all of europe is beyond me.

I was looking into this a few weeks back and a lot of reviews aren't that great. They say unlimited however they also mention no streaming in the terms. People who don't actually stream but use the data a fair amount get letters from the company saying they have to stop streaming or their service will be cancelled. I doubt they can tell if you're streaming or not so it sounds like they have a soft cap.

Yep! I used the same phone I have now that I used in Afghanistan. Seems like the rest of the World loves the sim card phones, but in the US not so much..

I have heard the same thing, but it works fine for a regular guy not on his phone all the time. I would suggest trying the service out first to see if it's what you want prior to switching/canceling your current service. If your current service is with ATT or T mobile (sim card phones) all you have to do is unlock it ($5) and you can use your current phone to see if the service works for you.
