Meziere Coolant Overflow / Recovery Tank

I'm in the mood to generate some content for some reason.

One of the cool things I did on my build that I never really posted about was scrapping the ugly coolant tank and installing a nice Meziere WR100U. This is a true recovery tank, not just an overflow for racing like you often find.

    Here's the tank itself:

    http://www.jegs.com/i/Meziere/680/WR...0002/-1?CT=999

The first step is to install some 1/8" NPT to hose adapters.

Figuring out how you want to mount this type of stuff is usually the hard part, but I had an idea. I found a spare threaded hole in the chassis, and tapped one of the screw holes on the Meziere to that thread. This let me use a single long threaded bolt to secure the tank in place.

The final product looks great, is firmly secured in place, and works perfectly.

I’ve been sort of envious of that tank when I saw it. Might have to get me one.

So, it puts the overflow back into the coolant system after pressure goes back down?

Yes, it functions just like the stock reservoir. Internally it has a pipe that extends down from the recovery port. That's an important distinction between this and a lot of the aftermarket coolant tanks, which are overflows only.

One port goes to the water housing, one is the overflow that dumps to ground just like stock.
