ecuflash problems

Well I deleted my old ecuflash and downloaded the 1.44. Now I can't read from the ecu or open the v2 rom. It just says "unknown rom image". I did install the xml. to the correct folder to. What should I do?

Not this time I just got it back from Brett I tried to read the ecu and nothing, It's not even connected to the car and I can't open the v2 bin. Ill pm you my number if you want to meet up and see whats wrong with my computer or ecuflash.

u updated the ecu flash program?

if so u need to re install the files
i had that same issue
save your roms in a different folder prior to updating ecu flash

Ok ill try that, Im going to delete the ecuflash and start over again.

Can you explain more before I download ecuflash again, I have 1 rom for ecu flash, 1 for evoscan and a bin file the one I couldn't open.

You have to make sure ECUFlash is pointed to the correct folder with all the XMLs. It's in the options settings. I'd take a screen shot but my laptop died.

I just had to place the files back in the correct folders

But any Roms I saved/created were deleted :/
Which was y I said save them in a different folder

Ok I went to ecuflash, options, rom file directory. I changed that to the rommetadata folder and still get the same message. Could there be something wrong with my v2 bin?

The next guess I have is the v2 bin file may be messed up, But only Greg would know that.
