    So who is running MAFT + Chrome?

    I am going to be getting a chrome ecu shortly.
    I am running MAFT.

    anyone who has ran a MAFT before (on any setup) knows that when you set it to 360cc, the car doesnt run very well. A member or two have been quoted saying that you'll need to adjust the VE table in chrome to compensate for the MAFT's lack of fine tuning and variances in MAF size and blow through / draw through

    Has anyone done this yet, and if so, where is the best place to start?
    I have no problem pioneering the settings if I have to, but if anyone has information that'll work as a building block would be great.

    I'm currently running a 3.5" Malibu MAF in blow through.
    Recertified ASE L1/L3 Master Technician
    13G's on Pump 93 tuned to 421awhp/419awtq @ 17psi tuned by Pampena Motorsports ....375awtq at 2900rpm....
    Billet 19T HL's on E85 tuned to .....?

    You might want to consider stepping down to a 3" MAF for your blow thru application. The reason being is you'll get more resolution in the airflow range your car will generate.

    That aside, I had absolutely no issues getting 2 separate cars to start and run with the MAFT set to 360 injectors and chrome set to whatever injector size the vehicle was running. There was some fine tuning involved to get the car to run "stock smooth" but that's not as hard as you would think.

    well i already have a 3.5" in blow through with a MAFT/SAFC combo.

    With my 550cc injectors, the MAFT/SAFC should be pulling -35% fuel, but my set up needs -21% to run stoich. if i pull it down to -35% the car runs lean as hell.

    So i'm worried if I remove the SAFC (and keep the MAFT) and install the chrome with a 550cc flash that it'll run very lean. (since the different between 360 and 550 is 35%, the chrome ecu would be injecting the fuel the same as if the SAFC was set to -35%) Pampena told me this was the MAFT being dumb, and not the size of the MAF i'm using.

    Can you understand what I'm saying or am I typing it poorly? I can explain it better if need be.

    Well tuning the VE tables via chrome basically is the same thing as with your SAFC. You're telling the code to use more or less fuel at a given HZ frequency. Make sense?

    The thing is, you don't really need to change the VE table too much because your base settings are already setup for a stock intake setup. This is why you can install any size fuel injector onto a stock car and only change the injector scaling to make the car run like stock again.

    So instead of making all the VE tables -35% over stock, you change the fuel injector scaling in chrome and absolutely nothing else because the "base" setting is already altered for the lager injectors.

    Since you aren't running stock turbos and intake anymore, only small changes will need to be made in the VE tables which you'll find out from your trims as you drive the car and they adjust. That's the beauty of the closed loop Feature of the code. It will auto tune itself for you. All you gotta do is tweak the VE tables to bring the airflow corrections back within spec.

    Quick question, I'm sure it's answered in the documentation, but..

    is the VE table 1D or 2D?

    Its 2D but you might be a bit confused what that means.

    1D = single cell table
    2D = single row table (one axis)
    3D = multiple row and column table (2 axis)

    The fuel and timing tables are 3D. The rev limiter and injector scaling is a 1D table. Fuel cut and fuel injector latency is a 2D table.

    thanks for the uber quick responses.

    ....And to think you me dan etc etc were sitting around a table for lunch at NG11 talking about chrome and flashing the ECU, and here we are. I never would have thunk sitting there that it would have come to fruition and executed in the way that it did.
